An argument broke out between Son and his teammates while they were out to eat before their semi-final match against Jordan, which they lost 0-2 on February 6. Members of the youth team are said to have rushed to eat so they could rush off to play table tennis.

However, Son was upset with his teammates going to practice early instead of bonding over meals and had problems with PSG's Lee-Kang-in. A war of words led to a scuffle that left ace Tottenhan nursing a dislocated finger.

A source told The Sun: "The argument broke out out of nowhere. Some young players ate very quickly and left the team to play table tennis. Son asked them to go back and sit down and there were disrespectful words. respect him".

"Within seconds, many players rushed into the dining area but were quickly pulled apart. Son injured his finger while trying to calm everyone down," the close source added.

Son still appeared on the field in South Korea's 2-0 loss to Jordan the next day, wearing a bandage on the middle finger of his right hand.

Korea's elimination in the semi-finals of the 2023 Asian Cup is a huge shock, especially when Jordan has never even made it past the semi-finals in the tournament's history.

Son returned to duty for Tottenham on Saturday, coming off the bench in a 2-1 win over Brighton with a bandage still wrapped on his finger. He assisted Brenna Johnson to seal the victory in the 90+6 minute.
