Harry Maguire wants to leave in January

Harry Maguire only started eight Premier League games last season and almost left Old Trafford in the summer for West Ham. However, the deal failed after Maguire hesitated to negotiate personal terms.

MU's defense is recently in crisis due to injuries to Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane. Therefore, Maguire has the opportunity to play. But Maguire is expected to return to the bench once Varane is fit again and Jonny Evans is also in contention for a starting spot.

Maguire wants to keep his place in the England team before Euro 2024 next summer, so he does not accept playing too little and will leave if the situation does not improve.

Maguire wants to play more at MU to have a place on the England team

"I'm not going to sit here all my life and play once a month. If this continues, I'm sure myself and the club will sit down and talk about everything," Maguire said before his match. England meets Australia.

Whether I start MU's next match or not is not my decision. I have faith in my abilities, but it's difficult. I want to play in matches and feel important to the club. Currently, I haven't been able to play as much as I would like. That's the key."

Maguire added: “I just make sure I'm ready to take the opportunities when they come. My achievements under coach Ten Hag speak for themselves. My win rate when I play is ridiculously high.

If you look back at my last 15 to 20 starts for club and country, I'm really happy with my performances. Currently, I am focusing on England's two matches and then will fight to try to regain my position at Manchester United, helping the team improve its rankings."

Although he does not play much at the club, Maguire is still regularly called upon by coach Gareth Southgate.
