MU plans to liquidate a series of players in January
MU will focus on selling players during the winter transfer period. And players like Jadon Sancho, Casemiro and Raphael Varane could be among those set to leave.
The winter transfer window is approaching and if Man United wants to strengthen their staff, the first thing they will need to do is sell off a few players who can no longer contribute much.
The Red Devils are not expected to spend much next month due to their summer spending and concerns about meeting Financial Fair Play regulations. Although more reinforcements are needed, it is likely that MU will have to wait until the summer.
According to Manchester Evening News, MU has included up to 6 players on the list of possible departures. First is Amad Diallo, who will be loaned out after recovering from injury. Sergio Reguilon will also soon be returned to Tottenham after an unimpressive loan period.
In addition, Man United is also ready to sell Raphael Varane, Casemiro, Anthony Martial and Jadon Sancho. Sancho's future is almost gone at MU after a conflict with coach Ten Hag. The Red Devils will be willing to let him leave if they receive a suitable offer.
The experienced couple Casemiro and Varane can also be sold even though they were MU's mainstays last season. This duo is both old (both over 30) and often injured, so the Red Devils are not eager to keep them.
MU once spent 34 million pounds to buy Varane from Real but now will probably only earn less than half that amount. Casemiro is being contacted by clubs in Saudi Arabia and MU will agree if they receive an offer of 20 million pounds.
Meanwhile, finding a team willing to buy Martial is quite difficult. His contract expires in the summer and the Red Devils will attempt to recoup any fee in January. Thus, the total amount of money earned from the above 6 players will probably only be about 60 million pounds.
