Joe Hart officially retires

The Celtic homepage officially announced that Joe Hart will retire after this season.


Through the Celtic homepage, goalkeeper Joe Hart confirmed that he will retire after this season. That comes when the former Manchester City star's contract with Celtic expires in the summer of 2024.


Celtic coach Brendan Rodgers shared about this:


"Joe has had an extraordinary career and I know it will be a big miss when he retires in the summer. For all he has done in football, Joe deserves praise and huge congratulations. Of course he is a great asset for Celtic and the game at a higher level from club to national team."

Hart has made almost 700 appearances at club level. He played for Shrewsbury, Tranmere, Blackpool, Birmingham, Torino, Burnley, Manchester City or Tottenham Hotspur. This goalkeeper has 75 caps for England.


He was also a member of the Three Lions in 4 consecutive major tournaments from 2010 to 2016.
